Our 2nd Anniversary

Yesterday, Michael and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary. It’s hard to believe I’ve only been married to him for 2 years! I feel like I’ve known him forever, and it’s crazy to think about my life before I knew him — seems like a whole other lifetime.

If you haven’t been reading my blog for that long, you may not know much about our history (I really need to add some of this stuff to my About Me page). In a nutshell, we got engaged after only 6 months of dating, and then got married 4 months after that, so I actually haven’t even known him for a full 3 years yet. That blows my mind. We both knew very early in our relationship that we were it for each other, so we had no reservations about moving forward with things.

We decided to have our wedding in Las Vegas, and no, we did not elope — it was more of a destination wedding. You can read more about our wedding in this post. We also had a reception back at home for all the people who couldn’t make it, and you can read more about that here.

Marrying Michael was one of the most exciting moments in my life, and being married to him for these past two years has been so incredible. We’ve been through so much together in such a short amount of time. 3 weeks after the wedding, Rosen was conceived. We weren’t planning on having kids for another 2 years or so, but God had other plans for us, and we are certainly glad he did :-) .

Entering into parenthood with Michael has been an amazing adventure, and seeing him as a dad makes me fall even more in love with him every day.

I just couldn’t imagine a more perfect person for me. I absolutely love being married to my best friend, and I’m so glad to be spending the rest of my life with him.

My parents came over last night to babysit Rosen so Michael and I could go out to dinner to celebrate. We dined on some delicious fondue at The Melting Pot. Mmmmmhmmmm!! It was quite a treat!
