Baby #2 is a BOY!! We are beyond excited!
I honestly didn’t have a preference about the gender. Michael, on the other hand, was really rooting for a boy. But preferences aside, both of us were just hoping for a healthy baby, so we would have been happy either way.
Unfortunately Michael wasn’t able to go to the ultrasound with me, and he didn’t want me to call or text him the results; he wanted to find out in person after work. I hated having to keep the news to myself all day, as my appointment was first thing in the morning, but seeing the look on his face when he got home made it worth it!
He wanted me to tell him in some unique kind of way, and suggested the cupcakes that you bite into and see either blue or pink. I, with my pregnant lady appetite, loved any excuse to make some cupcakes, so of course I agreed.
They definitely didn’t turn out like pretty bakery cupcakes, but they served their purpose. I just made the cupcakes from a yellow cake mix, and then dug out little holes in the top of each and filled them with blue icing, and then covered the top of the cupcakes with white icing.
Notice he also decided to wear blue. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t just a coincidence. Someone had some high hopes!
I wish the blue icing had been more of a baby blue, but oh well. I think Michael got the point .
I’m pretty sure Rosen had no idea what was going on, but she enjoyed eating her cupcake, too!
