So it’s been a full 5 weeks since I last posted about this pregnancy. I know…I’ve been bad about documenting this one! Everything is still going well though. Since we moved, I had to switch doctors, which I’m glad about. My last doctor wasn’t bad or anything, I just wasn’t crazy about him. Now, I’m back at the practice I used during my pregnancy with Rosen, and I’ll get to deliver in the hospital where she was born, too!
My first appointment there was at 23 weeks, and it went well. They pretty much just listened to the baby’s heartbeat and everything sounded great. My next appointment is the glucose test on the 23rd, so hopefully that goes well, too!
I’m feeling a lot more energetic lately, so that has been nice since we’re still doing a good bit around the house to get settled. My only current complaint is heartburn. It honestly hasn’t been bad though — nothing a couple of TUMS can’t take care of.
I’m just SO SO grateful that this pregnancy is going well. Overall, I feel pretty normal, and I’m thankful I haven’t had any problem keeping up with Rosen. Hopefully it continues to be a relatively easy pregnancy!
Your Baby in Week 25 of Pregnancy
Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. His weight — 1 1/2 pounds — isn’t much more than an average rutabaga, but he’s beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he’ll start to look more and more like a newborn. He’s also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you’d now be able to discern its color and texture.
