Over the weekend, Michael and I took Rosen downtown to visit our city’s newest attraction, Skyview Atlanta. Located by Centennial Olympic Park, Skyview towers 20 stories, providing riders with 360 degree views of Atlanta. Each air-conditioned gondola holds up to 6 people, and thankfully, we didn’t have to share with anyone else.
Since we live by a MARTA station now, we decided to take the train into the city. Rosen is really into trains right now, so she was very excited to ride a “choo choo.” She was a little scared at first when she saw the train approaching, but she quickly warmed up to it, and it ended up being her favorite part of the day. She seemed to really enjoy the ferris wheel too, but she would not stop talking about the train.
Here are a few photos I snapped in the station while we were waiting for our train to arrive:
We snapped several photos on our phones as well, so I can’t leave those out!
After our ride on Skyview, we walked through the park to the CNN Center food court for dinner. Rosen was dying to stop at the Fountain of Rings to run through the water with all the other kids, but unfortunately I didn’t think to bring a change of clothes for her. After a lot of whining, we managed to make it to the food court.
All in all, it was a wonderful family outing in the city, and we all had a great time. Michael probably regrets agreeing to the idea, because now I want to hop on MARTA and take Rosen to every attraction in Atlanta!
